Sermon: Jesus Still Moves Stones
Scripture: Matthew 28:1-2
“After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it.”
INTRODUCTION:Stones are meant to be moved and Jesus has a plan to move them.
Jesus Rolls Back Stones...

Jesus Stop Stones...
“When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.””
John 8:7 NIV
Jesus Uses People Move Stones...
““Take away the stone,” he said. “But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.””
John 11:39 NIV
So they took away the stone.
John 11:42
Practical Application:
- Indentify your stone.
- Surrender your stone.
- Be a Stone-Mover for others.
CONCLUSION: You know you are free when you can sit on the stone that once held you captive!
